Is using more than one shampoo or conditioner bad for your hair?

My hair is thick, unmanagable, frizzy, and just plain irritating! If I go to sleep, my hair is always in a knot when I wake up--even if I put it in a braid, which is said to help. Someone suggested using different conditioners. One for every thing your hair needs... pretty much five shampoos/conditioners together. But, wouldn't that damage my hair. Even if it was from the same brand, I just figure that my hair wouldnt like to have so much gunk in it, even if I'm going to wash it out afterwards. Any tips to help me with my problem?Is using more than one shampoo or conditioner bad for your hair?
Yes, shampooing too often can damage your hair. It's good to shampoo every other day, but conditon your hair daily.


You could try a leave-in conditioner. Leave it in your hair for 5-10 minutes and rinse it out. You could try Garnier Fructic shampoo and conditioner. Their line is great for people with frizzy hair.

I cycle through shampoos and conditioners in order to keep my hair healthy and happy... Different shampoos and conditioners supply different ';nutrients'; for my hair, it's worked out pretty well for me. I wouldn't mix them together, but cycling through shampoos and conditioners has done wonders for my hair. Good luck.
Use shampoo every other day and apply it only to your scalp. Never pile your hair on your head because it will make your hair tangled. Use conditioner every day but do not put conditioner to your scalp because it will have you dandruff.
yea u shouldn't ure THAT many shampoo/conditioners. if ure hair is frizzy why don't u just buy one especially for frizzy hair? wen ure hair isn't frizzy, it'll be more manageable. you can also buy those detangling sprays
