I WENT TO THE HAIRDRESS THE OTHER DAY AND she said this and I wasn't sure ifd she was just trying to sell me her shwartskoff products or if there was any truth in what she said.. My hair is fine with Pantene only after a while I change cause it does go a bit dull but then I use it again and it's great... to be honest I can't afford to keep buying salon products but I doi want healthy hair... any other alternatives that feed the hair ladies? Is it true? does Pantene shampoo and conditioner just coat your hair with silicone?
yeah its just chokkaz full of silicone thats why its sooo smooth n shiny. i use schwartzkopf or however u spell it lol and u can usually go a bit longer before u have 2 wash it again. if u wanna pay a lil extra buy KMS california, or goldwell. they're great! Is it true? does Pantene shampoo and conditioner just coat your hair with silicone?
Yeah. That's what makes it so 'soft' and shiny'. Wax.
Try Aussie or Tressemme products. They're both great..or even John Frieda.
Whatever you do, DO NOT get professional products in Grocery or drug stores, or anywhere other Hair Salons, and beauty supplys. They aren't the real product, and are watered down. They are basically sold illegally to the store, and can be very old.
What don't believe me? Look it up. Actually, There's a video on the matrix website.
yes it coats the hair with proteins and silicones which over a short period of time makes the hair look shiny and healthy but if you use it too often then the coating builds up on your hair which will weigh it down and eventually cause it to start snapping. i would avoid at all costs if i were you.
Yes its true. Any other problem comes if you ever want to tint your hair the dye won't take very easily as the silicon coats the hair shaft and stops penetration. Use Tresemme products they are readily available in all supermarkets.
get your shampoo from Lush! in fact buy all your toiletries from there, it's all natural and i highly reccomend it! google Lush!
