  • Best haircut and moisturizing shampoos/conditioners for long, thick hair?

I have shoulder length, dirty blonde hair and it's really difficult to manage. It's fairly wavy and whenever I try to straighten it, it just seems to poof outwards, instead of staying sleek and smooth. Would anyone here recommend thinning, and what do you find is the best type of shampoo/conditioner for thick hair?Best haircut and moisturizing shampoos/conditioners for long, thick hair?
Definitely consider hair thinning. It cuts down on the time it takes to dry hair. I like Sunsilk's Anti-Poof line, and I recommend all the products (shampoo, conditioner, and 24/7 creme). Garnier Fructis is also good, but you can go with the Sleek and Shine, Curl and Shine, or even Length and Strength formulas because they contain almost the exact same ingredients.Best haircut and moisturizing shampoos/conditioners for long, thick hair?
garnier fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner. it's the only stuff ive used that actually works
    I USE DOVE
I have thick, long - but not so straight, black hair.

thinning only looks good for people with not so thick hair.

Pantene (green) is pretty good, and cheap.
Tresemme moisture rich !!! i love it!!
Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner is absolutely THE best.

Dry hair, any good shampoo & conditioners?

whats the best shampoo %26amp; conditoner available at the supermarket

ive found, the best so far for me that have worked

are dove therapy for dry %26amp; frizzy hair and herbal essences hello hydrationDry hair, any good shampoo %26amp; conditioners?
I have horrible dry hair, and the BEST shampoo is John Freida's Sheer Blonde.

My hair is dark brown and I use it-- Here's why:

A lot of blonde's use bleach/peroxide to become blonde. These chemicals damage the hair, making it dry and brittle.

This shampoo helps that, therefore, it can be used on dry hair of every color.

It's seriously the best shampoo I've ever used.Dry hair, any good shampoo %26amp; conditioners?

How do i make my hair smooth&silky?which shampoo is best in doin so?is a conditioner recommended,if so which1?

i prefer herbal essences (clariol) shampoo n conditioner by clairol. its easy on the hair (not too many chemicals in it) and on the pocket too (not as expensive as salon products)

after washing ur hair style with a serum or blow dry cream - loreal products are the best for styling. choose one according to ur hair type

head and shoulder or sunsilk is he best and as per conditioner use an egg it is best trust me
you should use pantene pro v or motions they are the closest to the salon shampoo and conditioner
John Frieda has a great line of shampoos and conditioners for all shades of hair. If you're a brunette, try his Brilliant Brunette line. The conditioner makes your hair really soft and shiny and it smells really good. In the same line, there is styling gel that you put in your hair before you blow dry it, and it adds TONS of shine! :) It's fairly inexpensive, can be found at drug stores, Target, etc.
i recommend tresseme...my hair is very dry and brittle and this shampoo works wonders and follow up with conditioner everytime you shampoo...if you need extra help tresseme also makes leave in conditioner and lots of other products that work wonders
Pls go for Herbal items bcs that will not affect your hair, skin %26amp; eyes too
I think you should use sunsilk its at the dollar store
dont use shampoos.but shampoos make your hair silky and smooth but it weakens your hair roots try herbal shampoo.[meera herbal]

Where can I buy salon shampoos/conditioners at a discount?

Are there any outlet stores or online shops that are less expensive than buy at the salon? I'm looking for Aveda, Biolage and Philosphy.Where can I buy salon shampoos/conditioners at a discount?
I get my pureolgy online at ebay for a fraction of the price. There brand new never been open or used! Check it outWhere can I buy salon shampoos/conditioners at a discount?
You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and sign up for their discount card. It will cost you $5.00, but you'll easily make that back in one trip. With the discount, you'll be paying the same price that your stylist does for the products. Biolage is available but I don't know about Philosophy. Aveda, however, is not sold outside the salon. . . yet.
I think the beauty supply stores are the cheapest. The ones that supply the salons and professionals in the field.

Is it okay to use two different shampoos & conditioners together?

I'm sure it is because I've been doing that for a while...but the bottles say best results if used with their conditioner..i know that's a marketing gimmic but maybe its true?

idk. help me out.Is it okay to use two different shampoos %26amp; conditioners together?
its fineIs it okay to use two different shampoos %26amp; conditioners together?
Yes, It is definitely ok! The bottle of my shampoo says the same thing, but it doesn't mean anything. The company is just trying to get you to buy the matching bottle of conditioner. It really doesn't matter if your shampoo and conditioner are not the same!
Yes it's ok, you're right it is a marketing gimmick. It's also best to use a different conditioner from time to time, so not to cause build-up. My friends say my shower looks like a drugstore...lol!
you should always do what's best for your hair; as in, what keeps it shiney, healthy, and oil-free.
oh yeah I have frioends and family that does it all the time. Shampoos get your hair clean wile the condition repair and soften you hair
of course it is okay. they're just trying to get you to buy their products.
yes of course that's fine! i guess as long as it gets your hair clean and healthy it's fine. I do it =)

What is the best kind of shampoos, conditioners, etc that is best for a Shi tzu?

For those of us that are lucky to have shitzu, you know how hard it is to maintain a active little dog and still keep it looking like a showcase. My main problem is that I spend alot of money for over counters and meds from vets. and i still can't find the right product for her. Also for the ';in between'; bath times, What is the best product (like a detangler) but makes her still smell good for sensitive skin while keeping her from having dry skin. I appreciate all the advice, and I know my Zoey will. What is the best kind of shampoos, conditioners, etc that is best for a Shi tzu?

Does Herbal essences totally twisted shampoo work if i don't use the conditioner?

have hair that is half straight and wavy. Its frizzy. So al this while i was using Matrix Ultra hydrating shampoo n conditioner. I am also using panteen 3 min miracle once a week as i have very damaged hair. I want soft wavy n crurley hair. My friend suggested using Herbal essences totally twisted shampoo. I bought the shampoo but didn't find the conditioner any where. I reside in India - Hyderabad, n its not easy to find these products. So will the shampoo work if i use another conditioner(matrix) and after which i use panteen 3 min miricle ?Does Herbal essences totally twisted shampoo work if i don't use the conditioner?
The shampoo would work just fine, my hair used to be really dry and damaged. You aren't supposed to condition your hair everyday anyway, if you do it looks greasy.Does Herbal essences totally twisted shampoo work if i don't use the conditioner?
my girl friend uses herbal essenses and her hairs yummy lol but she ran outa conditioner once and it just got tangley alil easier
A good shampoo will clean your hair without stripping it and wash away clean. Marketing propaganda make us believe that shampoo is a cure all. I am not sure what you are expecting from a shampoo, but I would make sure I did not have any unrealistic viewpoints as to what it can, will, and should do. Conditioner should condition it while it is moist, then after it dries it should seal the cuticle to help keep the moisture in and the bad stuff out. Products like gel, mouse, oil treatments, hairspray, and shine agents is what will shape your hair. Nothing can change the way your hair grows. If it is half straight and half curly the shampoo could cost a million dollars but it wouldn't change that or help you manage to reshape it. Two people with the same looking hair can have two different types of hair as well. Thats why they make so many shampoos and conditioners so someone can find the type that will adhere to their hair. Hair to product match is not an easy find. I personally have hair that is italian and it is half straight and half curly and totally unruly. I have bought $20 shampoos and $1 shampoos. I found out after 25 years that if I rub a quarter size amount of Colesterol by Queen Helene in my hair while it is still wet it tames my brutal bush. It cost $4 for a jar that will last you 4 years. Its been around forever and is commonly overlooked because of the ';fancy'; stuff. The old tried and true is the best choice. These new products come out for a year and disappear. Colesterol has been around forever so you know it must work for people to support it for more than a year. Try it its worth the $4. I have long hair you might need less. Its a defriz, hydrater, protector, shiner, and tamer all in one.

Kerastase, by l'oreal. They're sold exclusively at salons (expensive ones, at that, but they're an absolute marvel!)Does anyone know shampoo%26amp;conditioners that stars use?
Bumble and Bumble is the new brand for the stars. It is the best, much better than L'oreal. Report Abuse

i can sure recommend the best shampoo and conditioner in the market. check them out at www.arbonne.com -- pure botanical swiss products. buy them with consultant No.15256981. get them at 35% discount -- drop me a note at charomail03@yahoo,com -- why pay retail when you can pay wholesale, no?
don't kno but i kno that lindsay lohan puts cocoa butter in her hair 4 a conditioner!!
They probably use some sort of high class shampoo like, Nexxus, and John Frieda. What I use is Neautrigina replenishing shampoo %26amp; conditioner.
Phyto, Kiehl's. Only at specialty stores, not regular drugstores. Or try www.bliss.com.

Ps: I do use those brands. They're fantastic. Phyto-Defrisant is great for frizzy hair, light, and time after time, it straightens it. It costs about $25 for a tube. So no comparison to Pantene or any other drugstore brand.
Only the personal hair designer knows for sure.
    pantenne pro.v!!!!!!

I would highly recommend Pantene Pro-V for Hydrating Hair. I love it, I have the same kind of hair. After using the shampoo and Conditioner it will feel like Silk. When you blow dry your hair when finished use a hair product (serum) its like a gloss, you only need a little bit, It makes hair shiny and stops the frizz. I hope this helps
    Definetly try Pantene!!!!!
aussie, herbal essences hello hydration, garnier fructise,

and something to make it shiny is john frieda shine spray

you can also use herbal essences for long hair the hair lotion thing in a red bottle

    it works very well

    Hey,

First of all check the temperature of your flat iron and make sure it isn't too high. Daily straightening won't cause dry and brittle hair with proper care.

Use a moisturizing or straightening shampoo and conditioner (schwartzkof) or (back to basics). Schwartzkof makes a product called Sealed ends that can help with that after washing.

I don't know jack about hair care but my wife teaches hair colour and design and she is sitting here right beside me!

I would greatly recommend Paul Mitchell or Redkin products. Since you do straighten your hair regularly I would also recommend a heat protectant (either spray or lotion). I use Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner for colored hair (although my hair is not dyed it's nice because it's not as harsh on your hair.) I use a Paul Mitchell shine serum daily, I put a drop in my hands and rub it in while my hair is still wet. I also use a Redkin silk treatment (again put in while hair is wet) and then if I'm going to do anything harsh to my hair (blow dry, curl, straighten, etc.) I spray it with Tresseme heat protectant spray. This routine works for me!! P.s.-when buying products such as Paul Mitchell or Redkin these products are onlsupposeded to be sold in salons so if you see them anywhere other than a salon, they aren't the quality that you would get from the salon products. So in short only purchase these products from a salon. tip J.C Penny salon always has has great sales (back to school, christmas, easter, summer is when they usually have their sales) Although they are a little more expensive, they are worth it and they will last longer than that watered down crap like pantene pro-v or suave!! Hope this helps!!!!
there are a lot of things you can try on your hair that will really make it shine, like eggs, avocado, mayonaisse, olive oil like you said, or honey. A rinse with white vinegar will help cut build up and will make your hair naturally shine, but may not be good if your hair is dry. For natural solutions, try this website:

    http://www.hairstyle.com/hair-articles/h鈥?/a>

I was having problems with my hair breaking, and my hairstylist talked me into buying a hair mask and bottle of keratin oil. Ask yours about it and what she/he would recommend. It didn't make my split end go away (Only a cut can do that) but it did make it stronger, smoother, softer, and shinier. All I do is mix a tablespoon of the mask with a few drops of the keratin oil, apply it to my roots and other broken parts of my hair, leave it on for an hour, and rinse out. It's fantastic.

As far as shampoos and conditioners, I love Herbal Essences for long hair and Aussie Awesome Volume.

    Hope this helps!
I have the same problem..Pantene works great..and when conditioning your hair, do it twice..like wash off the conditioner and apply again. Worked great for me. Theres this product called Kiwi Blow Silk that you apply to your hair that makes it soft like crazy! Its like lotion for your hair....
Try mane and tail shampoo and conditer

they r good and work better than ordinary shampoos and conditioners on coloured hair.

they r mild on ur coloured hair so the colour soes not fade away fast.

it adds shine to ur hair coz most of the coloured hair ends up looking dry and dull after a while due to the dye used. so these give the hair the gloss

What is the formula difference in shampoos/conditioners that smooth vs. curl-define?

I know they are both basically made to get rid of the frizz, but which of the two is stronger? What is the formula difference in shampoos/conditioners that smooth vs. curl-define?
My best friend was wondering the same thing and she decided to mix the two together. Sounds weird but really works! It gives you smoother, softer, and prettier curls then either of the two alone.

What are some shampoos/conditioners that salons use?

I need a shampoo that won't make my hair feel greasy after a few months of using it. It seems like I have to change shampoos all the time. . .

And everytime I get my hair cut at a salon even before they cut it it smells like they washed my hair with heaven. Does anyone know some good brands? FROM the salon..What are some shampoos/conditioners that salons use?
Usually the brands they sell in the salon, or salon stores like ulta, are the ones they use.

Different salons use different brands, so you might want to ask your stylist which one he or she uses.

    Salon lines would be:

    Back to Basics

    Paul Mitchell

    Biolage

Matrix (They have multiple lines: Sleek, amplify, etc)

    Nexxus

    Redken

    Tea Tree

I like the Biolage, Tea Tree and Paul MItchell for daily shampooing, because their lines are really good and pretty affordable when they're on sale.

The Redken and the Nexxus are great if your trying to repair damaged hair.

Back to Basics is really good, but pretty pricy for what you get. I usually like their hairspray more than their shampoos though.

good luck! What are some shampoos/conditioners that salons use?
Paul Mitchell is my favorite. It smells amazing and it does wonders on your hair :)

I have hair that is half straight and wavy. Its frizzy. So al this while i was using Matrix Ultra hydrating shampoo n conditioner. I am also using panteen 3 min miracle once a week as i have very damaged hair. I want soft wavy n crurley hair. My friend suggested using Herbal essences shampoo. I bought the shampoo but didn't find the conditioner any where. I reside in India - Hyderabad, n its not easy to find these products. So will the shampoo work if i use another conditioner(matrix) and after which i use panteen 3 min miricle ?Does Herbal essences shampoo work if i don't use the conditioner ?
Yeah, it should be fine! A different conditioner from a different line or brand won't ';cancel out'; the effects of the shampoo. Herbal Essences smells good : )

What are the best black hair care products? Shampoo's, Conditioners, oils etc?

I use products that are organic and natural. I have natural hair October Organics is a new product line that is out there and all my friends use. All their products are formulated for African American Hair and Dry and Damaged.

    Does citre shine shampoo/conditioners work?

You know, I've tried them all. Citrus Shine is okay for awhile, but like any other, you have to change off. I have yet to find a shampoo/conditioner that really does what it says. The new Herbal Essences isn't too bad, but again, it seems like the hair gets used to it, or it builds up and you have to switch again. I have used everything from V05 to Nexxus and after a week of using the product, it seems not to work anymore.Does citre shine shampoo/conditioners work?
i dont really think its the best to be honest with u..i have used everything cuz alot of shampoos dry my hair out so i have found that the best shampoo and conditioner is dove sheer moisture..trust me its freakin awesome.Does citre shine shampoo/conditioners work?
I think it is the best shampoo and conditioner I have ever used bar none

Which is better? Matrix or bedhead shampoo/conditioners?

I use bedhead ... I think it's great formula and it work's well with all types of hair , don't get me wrong , Matrix is great stuff too , but it's not for me .Which is better? Matrix or bedhead shampoo/conditioners?
just depends on what you like... everyones hair is different and you might like one better then the other... but your friend might like the opposite one better for their hair.. its just what you like no one is better then the other..Which is better? Matrix or bedhead shampoo/conditioners?
I use bedhead and my hair is awesome, ive been suggesting it to people on here.Ive never used matrix and never will because bed head is my favorite!Ive been using it for 2 years now.

    http://www.tigihaircare.com/
I've used Matrix in the past. It was the Volumizing, and it did not volumize. It weighed my hair down and added some build-up on

top of that. My husband has naturally curly hair and he's used the Matrix sleek shampoos and conditioners...they did nothing for his frizz either. And I've also used them in my hair since it does get frizzy...again...nothing but build-up and extra weight. Definitely NOT worth the money.

    I've never tried bedhead.
Bedhead all the way.....i love all there shamp. and cond. and all there hair products and there makeupp is wonderfull (very true to color) also they have body wash and lotions now which are wonderfull and there just a wonderfull company with great products!

    Shampoos/conditioner for thick, wavy hair?

I have thick, wavy, poofy, frizzy hair. Or I used to have until I decided to chemically straighten it.

Right now I'm using Herbal Essence (the one with the yellow bottles), before that I used John Frieda's freeze ease (before I straightened my hair) and that didn't work well for me.

I want a shampoo that can make my hair smooth and straight(or at least less poofy). Any ideas?Shampoos/conditioner for thick, wavy hair?

  • Are expensive shampoos/conditioners really worth the money?

I keep hearing different things on the subject, that cheap shampoos are cheap because they may be diluted with water and with dear shampoos you get what you pay for, is this really true or are expensive shampoos just as good as some as the cheap brands?

Thanks! Are expensive shampoos/conditioners really worth the money?
well it depends some expensive brands are rubbish but so are some cheap brands, go read sum reviews if your not sure, bu pantene is my favourite lower price shampoo. its sooo good! dont go by the label check reviews before u spend ur money. Are expensive shampoos/conditioners really worth the money?
it matters a little bit... the difference between a $1 shampoo and a $5 is huge.... but the difference between a $21 bottle and a $25 bottle isn't so much

the thing that's really important to me is not make sure there are no sulfates (sodium lareyl sulfate or something like that) they really dry your hair... paraban free is important too. you can get a good shampoo for $10 you don't have to break the bank
Normally professional shampoo's are better for your hair and less damaging. The best drug store shampoo product to get that has a good pH level is Pantene.
more expensive brands r more professional. if u ever go to flea markets alot of the time there are stands with cheap good hair stuff
I got s shampoo %26amp; conditioner (both same make) expensive.

    What a waste of money.

But i have heard sunsilk and Herbal Essenses is good.
umm well treseme is expensive but its a lot they give you and i loooove it! i would talk to ur hairdresser b4 deciding to buy an expensive shampoo
nahh they're not, but i wouldn't go for the real cheap ones either.

    i use adams or zodaic.

sorry to hear that happend to your animals
no b/c you buy items at your own risk. Hartz products are so dangerous. Thats the first thing my vet told me when i got my first pit bull pup. Try some of the shampoos at petsmart. Oatmeal will relieve itching.
I can't believe people are still buying ANY hartz products. Their products are harmful to animals.

Has it improved your hair? %26amp; where could I find it? Hair salons, health stores, drug store, online? What are the best shampoos %26amp; conditioners for damaged non-colored hair?
My hair was exactly as you described. I went to my salon and my sylist suggested getting a deep conditioning treatment while I was there ( not very expensive) and start using the Redken Allsoft shampoo %26amp; conditioner which is sold in salons. It is a bit more exspensive than drug store brands but so worth the money. After about a week of using it you will notice a huge difference. the best shampoo for dyed hair would be a shampoo called ';Bed Head Dumb Blonde'; it worked very good on my hair.............you can find it at Target it costs 15.00 dollars plus tax its worth it

Spray some static guard on your brush and brush your hair. Works like a charm! How do you keep your hair from having static? types-shampoos,conditioners, and/or hair treatments?
its the weather.... that is moslty what causes it... seriously though, i only wash my hair maybe 2wice a week, it is so much healthier!!! the only time i have a static prob is when i just washed it and its softer and thinner. the prodcuts strip your hair. seriously just wash and condition less.. it will make your hair fuller thicker and grow so much faster.. i know it did mine, i get compliments all day.
I have the sme problem. forget static spray head and shoulders is the way to go. also Iit doesnt matter your race but try some hair grease. rub a little on your hands and run thru your hair. good luck
I don't know how to stop it from happening, but a quick fix is to spray a fine tooth comb with hair spray and comb through your hair.
Take a used fabric softener sheet and press the bristles of your brush through it. When you brush your hair, it will remove the static.
You don't need any shampoo's. Instead take a dryer sheet and rub it all over your head to get rid of the static.

its not really the shampoo or conditioner, what you need to do is get a dryer sheet and rub it all over your hair brush or comb whatever u use and then when your done styling ur hair or whatever rub the dryer sheet on your hair it sounds odd but it most definetally works! i been doing that for so many years now! %26lt;3

Are there any shampoos/conditioners etc. that will gradually darken my blonde hair and is safe?

Hey, I have pretty little blond hair, sort of a light tan color? Well, I really don't want to dye my hair because I heard it is bad for you and it would be really awkward to my classmates because the change would be incredibly sudden. Are there any shampoos/conditioners that I can use every night that will slowly, gradually darken my hair? And are they safe and healthy for your hair? Are there any shampoos/conditioners etc. that will gradually darken my blonde hair and is safe?
their is Tresemme that is for color treated hair but I use it and it keeps my hair blonde and you could use the brunette even though it's not color treated other than that I have no clue

You need MOP basil %26amp; mint shampoo %26amp; conditioner.

When washed wash again, do not squeeze excess water out before apply the conditioner, washing the hair leave the roots just let the shampoo do its trick stroke the shampoo through the hair rather than scrub if you do this it will produce more oil because it has been stimulated. Less brushing once a day should be fine.

When apply the conditioner it should be the size of a pea, the amount does not equal softer hair but greasier use on the length of the hair only not no were near the roots. Wash in warm water not hot %26amp; they myth of washing in cold water is that a myth there is no truth in that, it can actually shock your scalp into producing more oil.

  • 2-In-One Shampoo & Conditioners: Good or Bad?

My hair stylist said that they make no sense (the shampoo cleans away the conditioner), but I remember reading somewhere that it's okay to use with short haiIr. I don't know about using a separate conditioner with my short (chin length) hair b/c it might make it too oily. I've just been using the two-in-one and a leave in conditioner spray. Should I just buy shampoo and not waste my time on two-in-ones?2-In-One Shampoo %26amp; Conditioners: Good or Bad?
2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is not good. It really doesn't make any sense. I went to hairschool, so i know a lot about this kinda stuff. It doesn't matter if your hair is long or short, it stills needs conditioning. If your hair gets too oily when your using a conditioner, then you're probably using the wrong type for your hair. You should be using a light conditioner, and you don't need to use a lot, especially if you have short hair. Avoid putting conditioner on your roots. I would recommend a professional shampoo and conditioner, they don't cost that much. If i were you i would try Redken clear moisture shampoo and conditioner, it's for normal to dry hair, it's gentle, and it will condition your hair without leaving it oily. I'ts nice and light. I hope i helped!2-In-One Shampoo %26amp; Conditioners: Good or Bad?
i have been a hair dresser for 15 years and your stylist is correct they don't make any sence all they are is a shampoo with a little bit of conditioner in it so it condidtions while you shampoo but nothing beats a good conditioner if your hair is not dry or tangley you can just shampoo but once a week condition after you shampoo it needs a layer of conditioner every once in a while and it will not make your hair oily use the right kind of conditioner i would like to recomend a kenra conditioner it is the best
2 in ones do not work very well. I stick to a shampoo and conditioner separately for a few reasons. If you don't leave a 2 in 1 in long enough, the conditioner doesn't have a chance to work. Most people shampoo for a second and then rinse. A separate conditioner will also double as a deep conditioner. You can apply it after you shampoo and leave it in for as long as needed for extra conditioning. I also use the conditioner when I shave because it leaves my skin silky smooth, even better than shave gels.
shompoo opens the hair follicles and the conditioner closes them....... you need them seperate.
I think that your stylist is wrong. 2 in 1 shampoo%26amp;conditions are awesonme. They work great on my hair. I use Pantene Pro-V. It really takes out a lot of knots and makes your hair a bit thinner. But it does no damage to your hair. Try it!
    BAD! Stay Away!

The two in one defeats the purpose as to why they were separate in the first place.

In this instance ';things worth-while don't come easily'; holds true, take the extra time to separately shampoo and condition!
    your stylist is right.

    makes no sense.

the deal is............ if you ask 100 women if they use a daily conditioner......85 of them will say ';';YES';........

then if you ask those same 100 women if they have damaged hair........75 of them will say ';yes';......

what does that say for the so called ';DAILY CONDITIONER';??

    it doesn't work.

What I recommend to my clients is:

Spend your money on a better shampoo....one without SLS in it....Sodium lauryl Sulfate...

    then

ONLY if you have problems with tangling after shampoo should you use a spray detangler or a spray leave in condtioner.........after.....

no tangles? no 2nd step needed.

It is just a MARKETING ploy by the shampoo manufacturers - - you do not need it. It is useless.

One of the bigger problems we see in the Salon is product ';build-up'; and that is from the useless conditioners caked on....

If your hair is trashed and truly needs conditioning?

Fix the source of the trashing...first...

No hair get trashed....unless ';we'; trash it....from FIA Flat Iron Addiction, over processing, Boxed hair color kits,etc...

then DEEP condition with a dynamite product

I LOVE DAVINES, conditioners.....or Philip Kinglseys Elasticizer....both Excellent..........
    they leave my hair dry.
    i think its GOOD!

Which of these shampoo/conditioners should i use(herbal essences)? need answer ASAP!?

    1.dangerously straight

    2.hello hydration

    3.no flakin' way

i have frizz, dandruff, wavy(want straight) hair, need hydration, which is best?Which of these shampoo/conditioners should i use(herbal essences)? need answer ASAP!?
Hello hydration because it will help with the dandruff and the frizz so two birds with one stone??Which of these shampoo/conditioners should i use(herbal essences)? need answer ASAP!?
I would say no flakin' way. It gets rd of dandruff, and hydrates also. If you want straighter hair i suggest buying straightening iron. I used dangerously straight, but it doesn't make it straight it just keeps it straight. So Yeah, hope I helped :)
NO!! herbal essences gives you more dandruff, their products are too strong, i suggest anything from head and shoulders- like their silk and shine i believe its called.

What are the best shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in product out there?

i don't know........ biosilk, nexxus, paul mitchell, john frieda, kerastase, something else, etc..........I want to try something new, especially to hydrate my dead ends but not make my hair greasy.....

I have straight, medium-texture hair that I blow dry...........suggestions?What are the best shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in product out there?
I love the Garnier Fruitice product line!!What are the best shampoos, conditioners, and leave-in product out there?
My hair is fine and straight. I use Ojon Revitalizing Mist (leave-in conditioner). It's light, smells good, and I can go without other product if it's a ';lazy'; day.
Mom bought me some Herbal Essences 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair baby soft. I LOVE IT!! You should try it and it smells delicious too! ;)
pantene pro v is the best i've tried for my damaged hair, i've been dying my hair about 10 different colors for about 7 years. if you want to go more expensive, use the biolage line, you can find that in salons.
I f you can spend the money, Pureology is the very best on the market. It is very good for dry hair and doesn't weigh it down. It is the best product for color treated hair also. Your color will not fade with this product. There is one shampoo and conditioner by Pureology that is called Nanoworks. It is the most amazing thing you will ever use on your hair. My hair had never felt better using this line. And I have very thin hair so I have to be careful what I use or my hair is limp. Good luck. You can only find this product in the salons or beauty supplies. It is the best!!!
A hair dresser friend of mine told me all hair products are the same basically. Her rule is to never use the same brand all the time. Dish soap works well to really deep clean hair and liquid fabric softener does the same job as cream rinse.

Most people wash their hair too often and that is why our scalps and hair dry out. It doesn't get a chance to restore it's natural oils, so we have to create a balance using hair products.

She's right about changing products because I'll use one I think is great, and switch to another brand when it's gone. Wow! Those new one's I get always seem better. (For a while, anyway)
I am using bio silk shampoo and conditioner and it has made my hair more silky.
REDKEN its the BEST. Their the experts on hair care. They have something for everyone. Well for your problem you could try Redken Clear Moisture they have a shampoo, conditioner, treatment and styling products. Also if its dry from color services or perms you could try their Extreme line with a shampoo, conditioner, and treatments. They also have some called All Soft. Its a little heavier though. All of these are wonderful. I know I have used them all. I also work in a Salon and have seen what they can do there. Also they don't cost a bundle. A shampoo and conditioner should only run between $20.00-$25.00 for both. The treatments are a little more but you can get like five for about $20. That will last like two months. I hope this helps. Also your hair sounds like mine straight medium texture and I also blow-dry and they don't weigh my hair down which is always a plus.
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner is amazing! I have tried sooo many shampoos and conditioners and this is my absolute favorite! I have medium length wavy hair which could be on the frizzy side but this shampoo makes it so super soft and shiny! It's really great I highly reccomend it. It's $22 for each but it lasts a very long time, you only need to use a little bit at at a time. I don't use leave in products so I don't know about that...

Good luck finding something you like!
    MATRIX
i suggest lorel. i have tried everything and i swear by this stuff... you WILL be amazed at the difference
All of the Pureology line. They have excellent lightweight leave-in products as well. And all of their products are sulfate/detergent free.
    Mayonaise is good........ really
garnier fructis,it is shampoo and conditioner in one, lookn for it.

the best shampoo i found for oily hair is (surprisingly) Suave's daily clarifying shampoo. It's a translucent blue color. It's super cheap, but super clean. It's just plain plain shampoo that cleans your hair really well. A tip for shopping for shampoos...the clearer the shampoo in color, the cleaner. The creamier shampoo (like Dove) the more moisturized it makes your hair. Hope this helps! What are best shampoos/conditioners for oily hair?

    PRELL.

This shampoo will strip all the oil from your hair. It will also strip nasty buildup from hairspray. And make your hair shiney and beautiful, not greesy.

Oily hair almost NEVER needs conditioner.

If you need a little moisture at the end use a spray conditioner away from the root. Or get a brush that has LOTS of bristles to grab that root oil and use your natural oils to shine.

    Wash Oily Hair Daily!
A medical assistant that I work with was talking with a co-worker of mine that had the same problem with oily hair and skin and asked the same question and she told her to get t-gel shampoo (I think neutragena has a brand of it or drug stores sell it) She said to alternate using your regular brand of shampoo one time then use the t-gel the next and so forth....I know I wash my hair every day and it has caused my hair to dry out the oils...how often do you wash your hair? Alot of the shampoos say on them for oily hair...I'm sorry I have the opposite problem so I don't know which would be best...but try the t-gel...the lady I work with said it works...

I remembered my stylist saying if you color treat your hair stay away from shampoos that say ';clarifying'; it will fade or strip your color (or isn't good for the color)
    Pantene is great!!!!!!

I've been natural for over two years now and I am tired of wearing it pressed or braided. I want to wear it out but I need to know some good styling productsWhat are some good shampoos, conditioners, and detanglers for natural Black hair?
Try visiting www.motowngirl.com. They have several homemade hair recipes for natural hair. They also have product reviews and several other valuable resources for naturals. As a rule, try to avoid anything with mineral oil and petrolatum in it. You may also want to try doing co-washes (conditioner wash) because some shampoos can strip your hair of it's natural protectants. What are some good shampoos, conditioners, and detanglers for natural Black hair?

    Doveeeeee %26lt;3
I also wear my hair natural. Sometimes I go to my stylist to get it straightened but most of the time I just wash and go. I do that by using the stuff that my stylist recommended. First I wash and condition with Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner ( my preference), then I towel dry. After my hair is dry, but not too dry, I use Dudley's Cream Press Pressing Oil. Just rub it in your hair like hair grease, style and go. It works for me because I have very curly hair but it also works as a detangler when I want to comb it out. For a hold, I use Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine Super Spray. Hope that works for you. Good luck!

    All Motion products are great.
I use Pantene Pro-V and Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine entire line! Garnier Fructis make my hair straighter, smoother with a lot of body and shine. It also smells good and is proven to make you hair 5 times stronger.
